I have driven 3 brands of scooters. Segway, Go Trax and Niu. Segway MAX makes a sturdy scooter that performs well (not better than the Nui) unfortunately very expensive. Gotrax XR Ultra makes a decent scooter that I would recommend for kids and teens defiantly not enough power for a 170 lb adult. NUI performs the best for the money. Sturdy quality construction. Unbelievable performance. Great pulling power up hills. The larger handlebars and wider deck really make a difference. Look no further NUI scooters are the best !!

Tam******eenBought this scooter to commute from the train to work. Its amazing. Super quick and well built. Only downside is it wont climb hills well. Small hills are fine, but the hills near my home aren't small so i still need to drive to the station from home.

S***naI’m very happy with niu e scooter. Pros: - ideal speed (limited 20mph, so its a perfect match, but changing to e-save gear when it is e.g. raining feels safe on wet road) - comfortable ride (wide footboard and fat tires makes it really nice, especially in my old city where many roads have bricks instead of asphalt) - it feels much more sturdy, especially if compare to my old Segway E25, in overall the scooter is very solid and durable - it feels like a real vehicle, not a cheap toy - app: locking, changing settings, it saves your last ride with stats (which imo are not very accurate, but it's still a nice feature) - cruise control: It's hard to find the feature, just holding the same speed for approximately 5+ seconds. An audible beep will sound, you can release the throttle and cruise without any input. To deactivate, hit the brakes or throttle again. Cons: - changing gears is tough: the button is on the middle of your handlebar, it's dangerous to change it in the middle of a ride, not even mentioning “pedestrian mode” which requires pushing it 5 times - bugs in the app, every time you turn off the scooter, the app forgets your custom mode, do not know how to solve this issue. - still cannot find the lifetime odometer I'm pretty happy, 8.5/10 if i would rate it. By the way, so far I rode about 5 miles and I’m at 78% battery. Normally I don’t drive full speed, mostly on e-save (which is about 10mph) or around 15mph.
